LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan today announced to hold a sit-in in front of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) if its members do not tender resignations by October 4.
While addressing a public gathering in Lahore, Imran Khan said, “There was no justification for the ECP members to hold office after 21 political parties claimed rigging in 2013 elections."
The party meeting was held in Lahore to decide the future policies regarding the upcoming by-polls in the constituencies where elections tribunals ruled in favor of PTI.
“We contested the elections as for the first time in Pakistan there was an independent judiciary,” stated Khan.
Earlier, Imran Khan had warned all members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to answer the questions he raised.
Previously, PTI chairman had also demanded the resignation of NADRA chairman.
