QUETTA - Three people were killed, including a policeman and another wounded in firing incident in Panjgur district, on Friday.
According to police, the incident occurred in Garamkan area of Panjgur when unidentified armed men riding a motorbike sprayed a volley of bullets on a grocery shop.
Resultantly, three people including a policeman died on the spot and another person sustained serious injuries. Police after getting information rushed to the site and cordoned off the area and shifted the dead and injured to the hospital.
The deceased were identified as policeman Qadir Baloch, Abbass and Muhammad Gul while injured man was identified as Abdul Razzaq.
Police quoting eyewitnesses said that assailants fled from the scene soon after the incident, adding a case had been registered against unidentified people and investigations were underway to unearth the real motive behind the killings.
NATO DRIVER INJURED
A driver of a Nato container received serious injuries in a firing incident in Bolan district, on Friday.
According to Levies sources, a container carrying supplies for Nato forces was on its way to Kandahar from Karachi when armed men opened firing on it in Bolan area. Resultantly, driver of the container identified as Muhammad Anwar received bullet injuries. The attackers escaped after the incident. Local administration rushed to the site after the incident shifted the injured to nearby hospital for treatment.
A case has been registered against unidentified people while further investigations were underway. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
