Solution of country's problems lies in Democracy: PM

Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf has said that resolution of country's all problems lies in the democracy and democratic norms.
Addressing a ceremony of Gujar Khan Bar Association‚ he said Pakistan Peoples Party has rendered matchless sacrifices for the establishment of democracy in the country. He said it is for the first time in the 65 years of Pakistan that a democratically elected is completing its stipulated five year term. “This reflects that the democracy is taking roots and strength. There is consensus among the judiciary‚ armed forces and all the political forces that no other system but democracy is imperative for this country”, he said.
Appreciating the role played by the lawyers in restoration of democracy‚ the prime minister said today the judiciary and the media are fully independent.
Referring to challenges faced by the PPP government‚ he said “we introduced politics of patience‚ tolerance and reconciliation which has started paying dividends. We formed coalition governments and took all the parties along.”
He said the present government ensured food security making it a wheat exporting country. “The foreign exchange reserves are also in stable position. We also pushed the terrorists back”, he said.

Raja Pervez Ashraf said there will be no threat to the system if all state institutions work within their constitutional ambits.
He said the lawyers have played a great role in strengthening of democracy in the country.
Raja Pervez Ashraf said he has great respect for all opposition parties‚ particularly Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and its leadership.
The Prime Minister said the PPP would welcome the result of the coming general election and accept whichever party is elected by the people.
