MULTAN - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that although there are no chances of martial law in the country, the rulers have brought army into fight their political war.
Addressing a news conference here the other day, he added that the rulers themselves contradicted the prevailing democratic system by calling army. He said that the PML-N leadership had admitted that they failed to control Islamabad. Recalling past, he said that Mian Brothers had fled abroad after handing over rule to Gen Pervez Musharraf in the past while leaving poor workers behind to rot in the jails. He alleged that the rulers tried to run the system with the help of Gullu Butts instead of running it in democratic manner. "It's biggest example is Model Town. The rulers shed the blood of innocent citizens brutally which is against democratic norms and system as well as shameful," he maintained. He said that today entire country searched for the persons who claimed that they would end loadshedding in six months after coming into power.
He disclosed that other political parties would also be extended invitations to join August 14 Azadi March. He warned that the PTI workers would eliminate all obstacles if anyone tried to create any hurdle in way of one million persons.
