Experience in oversight, monitoring and accountability for polio eradication will be replicated to strengthen routine immunisation for children in Pakistan, Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar said this while addressing a high level meeting to review the polio situation in Pakistan. "There will be zero-tolerance for negligence and lethargy in performing duties," expressed the minister while addressing the participants. Secretary Ministry National Health Services Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, officials from the ministry and representatives from international and donor agencies participated in the meeting.A comprehensive presentation on the current situation of the Polio programme was made by the National Coordinator of Prime Minister's Polio Monitoring and Coordination Cell while its operational aspects were presented by representatives of World Health Organisation (WHO).
