RAJANPUR/DERA GHAZI KHAN - At least 14 passengers including a woman and her two children were killed while 34 received critical injuries when a Kot Mithan bound coach collided with a tractor-trolley near Hameedwala area of Jampur on Indus Highway here the other day.
The injured were shifted to Jampur Hospital and Nishter Hospital Multan.
The victims included conductor of the ill-fated coach.
According the injured accounts, the Kot Mithan bound passenger bus (PS-368) was on the way from DG Khan.
When it reached Adda Hameedwala near Jampur on Indus Highway, it collided with a tractor-trolley and overturned. Resultantly 14 persons including women and children were killed and 34 others injured. The dead were identified as Mohammad Saghir, Mohammad Asghar, Haseena Mai, Mudassar Khan, Zaitoon Mai, Shamas Uddin, Rahim Bakhsh, Mohammad Aslam, Naseem Mai, Kundan Mai, Nadir Shah and an unidentified passenger. According to hospital sources, condition of some of the injured is critical.
