KARACHI- Minority Welfare Movement today asked Patron in Chief of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, to make arrangements for resettling 600 Christen and Hindu families displaces due to gang war in Lyari last year. As they were still moving from pillar to post.
In a joint statement, Chairman Peter Barnard, General Secretary Nadeem Akhtar and Vice President Wilson of Minority Welfare Movement said, that neither victim families had been given any relief, nor steps taken for their resettlement by the government so far. They said that those families were afraid of going back to Lyari as their dear ones were killed in front of them, and that was why they should be resettled in other parts of Karachi. They appealed to Bilawal to play his due role in this regard.
