Mainstream religious parties disapprove violence in capital

LAHORE - The mainstream religious and religio political parties disapprove violent protest on the issue of Mumtaz Qadri execution, enforcement of Shariah law, shariah definition of the Women Protection Bill and other.
The JI, JUI-F, JUI-S, Jamaatud Dawa and other of theirs of mind, stood aloof from the violent protest and dharna that was seen on the occasion of Mumtaz Qadri’s chehlum near D-Chowk Islamabad.
The JUP took part in the Chehlum of Mumtaz Qadri on Sunday but this party now, has isolated itself from the dharna protest.
The people at the Chehlum had turned violent. The mob damaged the state property near Red Zone and injured the security persons and forced the administration to call in the Army to control the situation last evening.
Notably the parties which had organized the conference on the occasion are also not siding with those elements which took to ransacking and violence at D-Chowk. But they are stick to their dharna. And now the moot question who are the elements behind the destructive action when no obvious one is accepting its responsibility.
President Namoose Risalat Mahaz Allama Razaye Mustafa Naqshabandi, who led a group to Chehlum also came back and yesterday held peaceful protest dharna outside Data Sahib. He said they will continue dharna with no definite word as to when it would come to an end.
President of JUP Pir Ijaz Hashmi, who along with their supporters was in attendance at Chehlum has dissociated himself with the dharna people. He said they are peaceful people and did not have any link with the violent people who disturbed peace on chehlum.
The party condemns the execution of Mumtaz Qadri and stands with the point of view of others that he deserves respect of a shaheed and for Nifaze Nizame Mustafa, but he does not support the violent action. I and my people went to attend chehlum and came back after it was over, he said overruling involvement in any violent protest and dharna. Hashmi said a third element had sneaked in the peaceful religious organizations to create disunity and hush up their stand.
As many as 34 religio political and religious parties of all schools of thought in a gathering at Mansura on Tuesday last had announced to forge unity on Mumtaz Qadri and to get the Women Protection Bill upset and for the enforcement of riba free economic system. They had set a deadline of March 27 for the government to accept their demands which practically related to withdrawal of bill and riba free system. The Joint Parties conference had
The participant parties had set the timeline concurrence with the Chehlum of Qadri without announcing any unanimous decision that all would also take part therein. Therefore a part of them took it own decision and reached the Federal Capital leading execution Mumtaz Qadri as main issue and to press the government not to meddle with the Blasphemy law and punish those stand convicted there under.
JI senior leader Ameerul Azeem says that although the parties who reached Islamabad go almost by the same points decided at Mansura yet their participation in Chehlum of Mumtaz Qadri was not a consensus decision at the meeting. The other side took its own decision, he said adding, if they had invited us we would have thought over it.
Ameer said they do not support any violence and want the Qadri movement to be peaceful with mass participation. The violent gathering would repel the masses from participation, he said adding at present two are separately in the field with the same objective. One is in Islamabad and we are the other who are going to work out their next strategy with JUI-F, JUI-S and others on April 2.
He said both are carrying the same objectives treading different path to achieve them. He said in Mansura convention on April 2 all parties would be invited.

To a question Ameerul Azeem overruled that without involvement of some outside elements destruction at that wide scale could have taken place although the participants of the Chehlum were moderately furious. It was done on the Karachi pattern inflamed by outside force.
Central Secretary Information JUI-F Hafiz Hussain Ahmad said that the masses reaction cannot be overruled when application of the same law would be made differently on the rich and the poor. He said Musharraf faced Article 6 and Raymond Davis killed two persons but they were let go but Mumtaz Qadri was put to gallows. He said when justice would not be available and it favoured the powerful the weak would naturally take law into their hand.
To a question he said they are going to meet next day in connection with the April 2 meeting which he added, may be taken ahead by one or two days due to Gulshane Iqbal Park tragedy.
