Nuclear tests reply to India remembered

HAFIZABAD - Youm-e-Takbeer, the anniversary of nuclear tests conducted by Pakistan in response to the India’s, was celebrated with national enthusiasm on Monday.
The then Nawaz government conducted the tests on May 28, 1998 to give befitting reply to the neighbouring country. A gathering was held in the PML-N Secretariat to celebrate the occasion. Rich tributes were paid to Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and Nawaz Sharif for their services in this regard. The speakers included former federal parliamentary secretary Mian Muhammad Afzal Tarar among others.
The participants pledged to ensure integrity and solidarity of the country. Tarar urged the rulers to show courage and force the US to stop drone attacks. A cake was cut at the end of the function.
