SIALKOT- PML-N central leader Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the Karachi people brought the MQM, ANP and PPP to power through their votes but these political parties had ruined the city’s peace for their vested interest.
Addressing a reception held in his honour by the PML-N Youth Wing Sialkot, he alleged that the political parties were promoting extortion collection, kidnapping for ransom and the target killings of the innocent and peace-loving people of Karachi.
Expressing grave concern over the Karachi situation, he said that the PML-N would heal the wounds of Karachi if his party comes to power through the forthcoming general elections. Khawaja said that the politically backed dacoits, thieves, national exchequer plunderers and extortionists had made hostage the two million population of Karachi. He added that the MQM, ANP and PPP were directly or indirectly involved and responsible for Karachi carnage.
He narrated that the PML-N would make an all-out effort to provide security of lives and property to the people. He said that the people of Punjab with those of Karachi should end this political anarchy.
During a special ceremony held at the District Bar Association Sialkot, the PML-N central leader handed over a cheque of Rs2 million special grant to the president of the Sialkot District Bar Association, Shahid Mir. Punjab government announced this grant a few years ago.
PUNJAB RELEASES RS500M FOR SIALKOT: The Punjab government has released a special grant of Rs500 million for establishment of a recreational park and a girls’ degree college near Head Marala-Sialkot, an MPA said.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal also said that the Punjab government would spend Rs250 million on the establishment of a recreational park on 25 acres of land at the junction of two canals - Upper Chenab Canal and Marala-Ravi-Link Canal - near Head Marala. The MPA added that Rs250 million would also be spent on the establishment of Govt Fatima Jinnah Girls Degree College at village Dhalleywali.
