Chaudhry resigned to avoid expected embarrassment: Iqbal

ISLAMABAD- Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal today claimed, that a fake degree case against MNA Aijaz Chaudhry is pending before the court and it is expected, that the verdict would come against him.

Talking to sources, after Chaudhry’s announcement to join PTI, Iqbal said that the MNA, who was elected from Mandi Bahauddin as an independent candidate, resigned to avoid embarrassment that he may suffer with following the expected court verdict. “If Chaudhry Aijaz had reservations, he should have talked to the party leadership,” the minister said. Iqbal refused to comment on PML-N forward bloc and said that such conspiracies cannot weaken PML-N.
