KP govt allocates Rs 1b for scholarships

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated one billion rupees for provision of scholarships to the students of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa studying in top educational institutions in the country.
According to sources, five hundred million rupees are being spent on research and innovation in public sector universities. Ninety-six million rupees have been released under Faculty Development Support Programme for extending financial support to faculty members during their M.Phil and Ph.D studies.
Moreover, fifty new colleges are being constructed in different districts across the province.
