DERA GHAZI KHAN

The District Bar Association of Dera Ghaz Khan has announced to go on strike and boycott the court proceedings for indefinite period till the transfer of Civil Judge Abdul Manan Qureshi.
A meeting was held at District Bar Hall by District Bar Association on Wednesday. DBA President Saleem Raza Khan Khakar, Secretary General Saleem Jan Khoa, Punjab Bar Council member Arif Khan Gurmani, advocates Anwar Hassan Qureshi, Sheikh Sardar Alam, Younis Khan, Behram Khan, Ghulam Farid, Mian Tariq Mahmood, Faheem Akbar, Abdul Hameed Sanami and Hashim Sana addressed the meeting.
The DBA announced that the strike would continue till the transfer of the civil judge from DG Khan. It is protesting against alleged misbehaviour of the judge with certain lawyers. Partial strike is ongoing in courts for one month. It is also decided in the meeting that DBA will take action against those advocates who will not follow the rules of discipline of DBA.
