ELLAH ABAD - Two persons were gunned down by unidentified culprits here in the suburban Nain Wall Khalsa area, some 5-km from here the other day. According to detail, unknown armed assailants fired gunshots on Muhammad Irshad, son of Muhammad Sadiq, a resident of Ellah Abad Ward No-3 and Muhammad Yaseen, son of Ibrahim when they were asleep in a shop situated in Nain Wall area at night. The accused, riding on a car, knocked at the shutter of the shop. As soon as they opened up the shutter, the accused started firing on them. As a result, Irshad and Yaseen died on the spot. The Nain Wall is nearest to Ellah Abad but it falls in the remit of the Chunian Police. The motive behind the incident is said to be old enmity.
