WANA- At least five security personnel were killed and three others sustained injuries, in a remote-controlled bomb blast in South Waziristan Agency today.
According to sources, the roadside bomb went off when a vehicle of security forces was passing through Shaktoi area of Ladha tehsil in South Waziristan, killing five security personnel and injuring three others. The security forces cordoned off the area soon after the blast and started search operation. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Bannu and Tank hospitals. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan claimed responsibility of the attack. A commander of the TTP from undisclosed place telephoned a private TV channel and claimed the responsibility of the attack. He said that explosive devices were planted in the way of the security forces' convoy in different areas.
