IUB convocation on May 12

Bahawalpur-Three convocations of the Islamia University Bahawalpur will be held this year to award degrees and medals to the passed out students and the 1st convocation will be held on May 12 wherein President Mamnoon Hussain is expected to be the chief guest.
This was disclosed by IUB Vice-Chancellor  Dr Muhammad Mukhtar here while presiding over a meeting to review arrangements for the forthcoming convocation in which passed out PhD, MPhil, MA/MSc and BA/BSc  students would be given degrees and medals according to their positions.
The meeting was informed that the second convocation of the university would be held in August and third one in October.
IUB Convocation Committee Chairman Dr Saleem Tariq briefed the participants about the arrangements for the 1st convocation scheduled to be held next month.  Faculty of Arts Dean Dr Memona Ghani, Faculty of Science Dean Dr Asghar Hashmi, Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Dr Mehmood Ahmed administrative officers and senior faculty members attended the meeting.
IUB BA, BSc exams begin: The annual BA and BSc examinations (Part-I and Part-II)-2014 under Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB) have been started and 51 examination centres have been set up across the division.  IUB Controller (Examinations) Imtiaz Ali Sukhera said that 500 to 650 invigilators had been deputed for the purpose at the respective examination centres and entry of irrelevant people within 100 yards radius of the examination centres had been banned. 
He said that if any candidate had not received roll no slip or date-sheet so far, he should immediately contact the IUB Examinations Branch to get the roll no slip. The BA/BSc examinations will last till May 24.
