LAHORE: The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has vows to devolve powers at the grass-root level in the country. He was chairing a high level-meeting at Governor House today.
He said those opposing the agenda of development and prosperity are the enemies of the country. He said people have rejected the politics of allegations and agitation. Prime Minister reiterated the government’s resolve to provide basic amenities of life to the people.
He said the people will be provided education, health and other facilities of life. The Prime Minister said he will personally monitor it. He said the government believes in public service and the benefits of development will be transferred to the masses in the next two years.
Nawaz Sharif said development projects pertaining to gas, electricity and infrastructure will be completed by 2018. He said power outages will be eliminated during the next two years.
The Prime Minister said the last phase of local government elections will be completed by May. He said people have rejected those who are pursuing negative agenda. The meeting was also attended amongst others by Punjab Chief Minister and the Governor.
