Our Staff reporter HAFIZABAD - For maintaining complete peace and religious harmony on the eve of Eidul Fitr, the district police have deputed 500 cops under the supervision of two DSPs. In this connection all entry and exit points and motorway interchanges at KOt Sarwar, Bhaka Bhatttian and Pindi Bhattian will be totally sealed. Leaves of all cops and Rescue1122 have been cancelled and the Hafizabad DCO has imposed Section 144 CrPC on August 31 and September 1, banning carrying and display of firearms in the district. Due to heavy rush of shopping in the city markets, the DPO has established temporary police post at Fawara Chowk and intensified police patrolling. Talking to the newsmen here Monday, the DPO said that two DSPs, nine Inspectors, 19 Sub-inspectors, 52 ASIs and 341 constables would perform their duties at different mosques, Eidgahs and Imambargahs on Eid day to ensure law and order.
