Altaf demands national govt

KARACHI/LONDON- Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain called for the formation of a national government to end the political crisis engulfing the country.
In a press statement, Altaf Hussain said the army should intervene to improve the prevailing tense situation in the country.
Meanwhile, in an interview, Altaf said the government defamed Army on National Assembly floor and suggested that the army should take unwanted action and should maintain writ to rescue Pakistan.
The MQM chief said that everyone knew country’s fragile political situation for the last 15 to 20 days.
He said that unfortunately the mandate of the then East Pakistan was not accepted, which ultimately resulted the division of the country.
He said that feudal, landlords and Army Generals kept coming on the ruling seat and rescued each other’s interests.
He said that MQM was the only political party in the country, which brought to poor and lower-middle class people into the Parliaments.
He said that the rightful philosophy of MQM teased the country’s establishment, which wickedly held ethnic riots to defame it.
He said that all the graveyards of ‘MQM Shuhada’ were full but his workers and supporters still stood fastened on their stance.
He said that the Army was defamed on National Assembly floor, when the government claimed that the talks were held on the wish of PTI and PAT leaders but the ISPR’s statement later cleared all the ambiguities.
Altaf Hussain said that the country’s Army kept serving its people with its lives sacrifices but unfortunately they had been defamed by some people in the Parliament. He said that he always supported democratic forces and requested Army to pay its due role to save the country.
