Karachi: A retired major, who had a roadside brawl with cricket legend Wasim Akram earlier this month, tendered a written apology.
The clash took place on in Karachi August 5. The accused had fired a shot at the car of Wasim Akram after a minor accident near National Stadium. In his letter, Amirul Rehman said that he and his family were fans of
Wasim Akram.
“You are our national hero, our national pride. How can I think to fight with you? It was just a misunderstanding,” he wrote. Although Wasim Akram accepted his apology, the former skipper demanded
that Rehman’s driving and arms licenses be cancelled.
