Ex-servicemen appointed for security of China camp remain deprived of salary for fourth month

SHANGLA: The ex-servicemen appointed for security of China camp in Alpuri area of Shangla face severe hardships due to non-payments of salaries for last four months.

Services of more than 125 former employees of police departments were acquired to provide security to China camp established in Alpuri for Chinese engaged in development work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) but have been paid for last four months due to which had to suffer.

The DPO when contacted for getting his stance over the issue said that the payments of the said employees were to be paid by National Highway Authority (NHA).

He said that after repeated reminders, NHA has dispatched two month salary of the security employees and remaining amount will be soon paid.

The victim ex-servicemen have demanded of the Chief Minister (CM) Pervez Khattak to the notice of the nonpayment and to direct NHA for immediate release of their salaries so they could be able to pay all attention on the assigned duty.
