The Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) has summoned DG ISI Ahmed Shuja Pasha, ex-ambassador to US Husain Haqqani and Mansoor Ijaz to probe Memogate scandal.
The PCNS met here in Islamabad on Friday with its chairman Mian Raza Rabbani in the chair and discussed important issues relating to national interests including the Nato attack in Mohmand Agency and Memogate scandal.
Later talking to media persons, chairman PCNS Mian Raza Rabbani said DG ISI and ex-ambassador to US Husain Haqqani will appear before the committee after January 10.
He said that working papers regarding Nato and foreign policy have been finalised in the meeting, which will be distributed among the committee members.
The Secretary Defence who was also present at the meeting briefed the meeting about the proceedings on the two issues and steps taken to tackle the situation.
During first session of the PCNS, it took up matters relating to the Nato attack on Salala check post in Mohmand Agency and Memogate scandal.
It should be mentioned that Defence Ministry had submitted the record of nine agreements, signed after the 9/11 incident in the United States, before the PCNS on Dec 24.
Officials of the Finance Ministry briefed the committee on the financial aspects of stopping the Nato supply.
The committee has also sought the record from the Foreign Office regarding the recommendations of the ambassadors who recently held a meeting on the terms for new engagements with the United States on the war on terror.
