Three die in road accidents

OUR STAFF REPORTER OKARA - Three people were killed in separate road accidents in district Okara here on Wednesday. In the first incident, a truck collided against a standing wagon and turned turtle. Two persons including a woman died on the spot. Six persons were wounded. Two of them are stated to be in a critical condition. A passenger wagon (5900/FD) coming from Sahiwal to Okara went out of order near Military Dairy Farm. Meanwhile, the truck (1434/MND) coming from Multan hit the wagon and over turned. As a result, a lady Sonia, a resident of 55/2.L, Mohammad Anwar of 55/4.L were killed instantly. The injured were shifted to CMH Okara Cantt by Rescue 1122. In the second incident of road accident of a car on GT Road with a bicycle left labourer dead. Makhen was going to his house on bicycle. When he reached Renala Bypass a speeding the car ran over him. As a result, he died on the spot. Sit-in against overbilling: The electricity consumers staged a sit-in in front of Wapda and executive engineer offices for become victim of overbilling despite unscheduled and prolonged loadshedding. The consumers who paid in hundreds have fallen in the range of thousands of rupees. Every consumer has been paying for 100 to 500 extra units every month. The people also threatened that if their bills are not corrected, they would stage protest. Some meter readers on the condition of anonymity that the high authorities had ordered to add extra units to bills to balance deficit.
