SWAT  - A joint operation of security forces and police in Mullah Baba area and surroundings of Mingora led to arrest of some key terrorists.
Security forces promptly reacted on information received from the arrested terrorists and were able to arrest high-profile terrorists including the group leader. The terrorist group was involved in targeted killings of notables. Security forces also recovered huge quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosive from the possession of the terrorists. The group comprising a few notorious terrorists was planning large-scale terrorist activities in Swat.
Residents of Swat paid tributes to the security forces. Operational Commander Malakand Division Major General Javed Mehmood Bukhari awarded cash prizes and certificates to the participants of the operation. He applauded the efforts of security forces and police in restoration and maintenance of peace in Swat. He also reiterated that security forces and other law enforcement agencies will jointly maintain peace in Swat and terrorism will be eliminated from the area.
TWO ARMY MEN INJURED IN PESHAWAR
Staff Reporter from Peshawar adds: Two Army personnel were injured when unknown militants fired three rockets at Baloch regiment center in Gora Qabristan area of Peshawar on Sunday night.
The first rockets landed inside Baloch regiment center in Gora Qabristan and resulted in injuries to two Army personnel.
They were identified Lance Naek Zafar and another soldier Sajjad.
Both Army personnel were rushed to Combined Military Hospital Peshawar where they were provided emergency medical treatment.
The second rocket landed near airport area while the third rocket was fired into Tehkal area. Both the rockets did not cause any human or property losses.
Soon after the incident heavy contingent of police and Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the site and cordoned off the area.
The high intensity blast of the rockets caused fear and panic among the residents who came out of their houses.
Police registered FIR and started investigations.
