WFP distributes 1000 metric tons of food among IDPs

Dera Ismail Khan- World Food Programme (WFP) has so far distributed 1000 metric tons of food items among the internally displaced persons (IDPs) of North Waziristan, state media reported today.
This was stated by World Food Programme's Region Chief in Dera Ismail Khan said.
He said food items have been distributed among 11,000 families of IDPs in Bannu district, 200 families in Tank, 300 families in District D.I.Khan, 400 families in Karak and 1200 families in Lakki Marwat district.
Meanwhile, two thousand tents donated by Punjab government are being distributed among IDPs.
Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal has also set up a medical camp and deployed a mobile dispensary for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Bannu.
