Karachi- Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has filed a petition in Sindh High Court (SHC), to declare the seats of resigned Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members as vacant.
According to details, the petition submitted by MQM leader Shahid Sheikh stated that it is unconstitutional not to accept the resignations of four members of PTI, as they do not come to the assembly.
Moreover, it also stated that Speaker Sindh assembly and Election Commission (EC) were breaching the constitution by doing so therefore, by-election should be conducted by vacating the seats of PTI members.
The petitioner also requested to direct the Speaker Sindh Assembly to accept the resignations. The resigned PTI members include Syed Hafeezuddin, Khurram Sher Zaman, Samar Ali Khan and Seema Zia.
The MQM filed another petition against the Chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Arif Alvi in Sindh High Court today, about their alleged telephonic conversation regarding PTV attack.
The petitioner Faiz-ul-Hassan stated that the post-PTV attack talk of both leaders, is against the constitution and pleaded to annul the membership of Arif Alvi. He further demanded to initiate action against Imran Khan as per law.
