Two more victims of park tragedy laid to rest

In Jhang, Muhammad Fiaz who was killed in the bomb blast in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park Lahore was buried in his native graveyard here on Tuesday.
As per details, Muhammad Fiaz, a resident of Chak 457/JB Kot Lakhnana, situated in the remit of Jhang Saddr Police was residing in Lahore in connection with his job. He was killed in the bomb blast occurred in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Lahore. His dead body was brought to the district where it was received by Jhang DCO Nadir Chattha and MPA Khurram Khan Sial. His funeral was offered in Kot Lakhnana where he was later laid to rest.
A large number of people attended his funeral. The deceased was father of a two-year-old daughter. In Hafizabad, one more victim of the Gulshan-i-Iqbal Park, Lahore, bomb blast was laid to rest here in old graveyard near railway lines. Earlier, funeral for the deceased was offered which was attended by a large number of people including relatives, social and political workers and officers of the district administration.
The deceased Muhammad Ans, a student of intermediate class, along with his father Muhammad Ayub Butt, Deputy Secretary of the Auqaf Department, mother Farah, eight-year-old sister Fatima and three other relatives had gone to Gulshan-i-Iqbal park on Sunday for the weekend picnic. However, unaware of their fate, his father Ayub Butt and sister Fatima died on the spot in the blast while he, his mother and three other relatives sustained critical injuries. They were shifted to different hospitals in Lahore where Ans succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. The condition of his mother is also stated to be critical.
His dead body was brought to Hafizabad Tuesday afternoon where he was laid to rest in the evening. Meanwhile several local leaders of political parties and citizens visited the house of the martyrs and expressed their heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family. They strongly condemned the gruesome incident and called on the government to launch merciless crackdown on the terrorists to weed out the menace from the country.
