10 hour long sit-in against Mustang tragedy ends

Quetta: After the government and opposition accepted the demands of protestors, the 10-hour long sit-in by the victims’ families against the mustang tragedy ended in front of the Chief Minister house in Quetta, while taking the dead bodies and departed to Pashin.

According to media reports, the victims’ families were giving a sit-in infront of CM house and governor house against tragic incident at mustang district, where unknown armed terrorist started shooting at the bus last night.

The dead bodies of 19 passengers were also in the ambulance, alongside the 10 hours long sit-in. The sufferers’ families demanded the government to take strict action against the people involved in the mustang tragedy.

Provincial information Minister Abdul Rahim Zahirat, opposition leader Moulana Abdul Waseeh and ANP Parliamentary leader Engineer Zamark Khan were among the negotiating team. Opposition took control over the situation, a meeting was held at the Chief Minister house, while Abdul Malik Baloch presided over the meeting.

After the meeting, CM Balochistan Abdul Malik Baloch came out and addressed the sit-in. We are standing with the victims’ families against the terrorist in this sad and sorrow moment. We would be running after the terrorist in order to capture them for punishing them.

We would be installing FC checkpoints at Karachi Quetta national highway and we would like to appeal from the families to bury the dead bodies in light of the Islamic values.

Provincial Home minister Sarfaraz Bugti said that an operation is already underway against the terrorist with full force. The operation would not be finish till the last terrorist is dead.

Opposition leader Moulana Abdul Waseeh said that the situation of the Balochistan province is very bad, whereas target killing has been ongoing for the past few days. We are being attacked, whereas the attacks carried out by the enemy is our common enemy. In order to control the security situation, we should work with tolerance.

ANP Parliamentary leader Engineer Zamark Khan said that there is not example found in the past related to the target killing of Pashtuns in mustang incident.

After successful negotiations, the 10 hours long sit-in was ended, while the dead bodies were shifted to Haramzai, Bhashoor, and Qila Abdullah. The atmosphere was sorrow, as the funeral was being offered.
