Polling halts at various booths in KP

Peshawar: Polling was stopped at different polling stations, due to brawl between the workers of different political clashed in various areas of the province during LB elections, while mismanagement also reported from different parts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A brawl between the workers of PTI and PML-N was reported from Abbottabad, while Awami Jamhori Itehad Party and PTI workers clashed in Swabi. Similarly, in Peshawar and Nowshera the supporters of different candidates also clashed with each others. Meanwhile, five people were arrested from Ward 2 and 5 in Kohat, for campaigning inside the polling stations.

In some districts, the polling staff and materials could not reach on time and polling could was delayed. In some areas, the polling was postponed as symbols of some candidates were missing from the ballot papers.

Paharipura area of Peshawar fake ballot papers were seized at male polling station, while polling was stopped due to brawl between workers of political parties at Chamkani polling station Peshawar.

In Tank, the rival exchanged firing at Kari Haider village, due to which polling was stopped. The police rushed to the troubled polling station.
