SAHIWAL-Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif yesterday took exception to ‘wilful absence’ of doctors at DHQ Hospital for the past 29 days and ordered strict disciplinary proceedings them.
Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif made a surprise visit to DHQ Hospital Sahiwal and inspected different wards, attendance and record of the hospital on Tuesday.
He declared that no public servant is allowed to be indiscipline and violate the law.
The Punjab CM ordered strict action against the employees habitual of wilful absence and work shirkers. Shehbaz Sharif also took notice of charging exorbitant fee of CT Scan by an NGO and ordered to stop the practice. He also ordered the DHQ Hospital Medical Superintendent to take his residence near Emergency ward of the hospital and stop receiving parking fee from patients.
The chief minister asked the district administration to complete the under construction new blocks at the hospital at the earliest, warning any delay to invite to stern action. Shehbaz Sharif reiterated his government’s pledge to provide best healthcare facilities to the public in all public sector hospital. Warning officials against the negligence and slackness, the chief minister said that dereliction of duty and absenteeism would not be tolerated, adding that the Punjab government would fulfil its responsibilities regarding provision of best medical facilities to the citizens across the province.
