Infant to undergo DNA test

OUR STAFF REPORTER SIALKOT - Police have announced to conduct a DNA test of a one-year-old child, whose maternity is being claimed by a Pasrur-based family and a policewoman, to find out his biological parents. The family from Pasrur City alleges that the child had allegedly been taken away a year back by Munazza Batool from the gynae ward of the Allama Iqbal Memorial (DHQ) Hospital. Munazza Batool had stolen my son from the hospital with the help of her sister - a nurse - Sadaf on August 16, 2010, when I went to fetch water for my wife Suraya, Tariq Mehmood, a trader by occupation, says. Nevertheless, Batool claims that the family had been trying to snatch her son. Newsmen were told by SP (Investigations) Nasir Muneef Qureshi that a DNA test was the only option to find real parents of Mueed Khalid. The family had lodged an application with the district police officer (DPO) seeking registration of a case against the woman constable and her sister and recovery of the child. A year has passed now but the police are unable to resolve this matter.
