HAFIZABAD - A young housewife courageously foiled the bid of a fiendish youngman to rape her. However, she was seriously injured by the accused who managed to escape.
According to police source an influential villager Ikram Ullah stormed into the house of a worker Arshad Ali in village Chak Bhatti the other night and attempted to forcibly violate her chastity but the courageous woman allegedly slapped him.
Thereupon the accused got enraged and allegedly inflected serious injuries on her head, shoulders, arms and legs with a sharp-edged weapon and managed to escape. The victim was rushed to DHQ Hospital in critical condition. The Jalalpur Bhattian Police have registered a case against the accused who is still at large.
