Hearing in judges’ detention case against Pervez Musharraf adjourned

Islamabad: Hearing in the judges’ detention case against former President Pervez Musharraf was adjourned today, after judge of an Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) being on leave.
The hearing in the case could not take place, as ATC Judge Sohail Ikram was on leave.
An application seeking cancellation of arrest warrants of Musharraf was to be taken up by the court for arguments. Earlier, the court had rejected his application for exemption from appearing in court and issued his arrest warrants, because the application was not supported with a medical report.
Later, counsel for Musharraf submitted a petition with medical report, seeking cancellation of his client’s arrest warrants.
The court had halted implementation of arrest warrant orders till a decision on the new petition. The hearing of the case was adjourned till November 13.
