Int'l community should pressurize India to grant Kashmiris right of self-determination: Maleeha Lodhi

NEW YORK: Pakistan has urged the international community to pressurize India into allowing the Kashmiri people to exercise their right of self-determination to pave the way for peace and stability in the region.

This was stated by Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi while speaking to Pakistani and Kashmiri community members in New York.

The ambassador denounced the brutal tactics by the Indian security forces in suppressing the mass uprising, and described the prolonged curfews in Occupied Kashmir as 107 days of shame and infamy.
