IESCE disconnects power supply of Chairman CDA office over non-payments of dues

Islamabad: Despite repeated intimation to submit the dues, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) today has disconnected the power supply of executive block of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), due to non-payment of bills regarding street lights and tube-wells worth more than Rs.200 million.
As per details, CDA has been defaulter of IESCO for the last many years of more than Rs. 200 million. Such situation was witnessed yesterday, when CDA did not submit the amount of Rs. 200 million in the bank account of IESCE despite repeated memorandums.
CDA was defaulter of Rs. 1 billion of IESCE and submitting these dues in installments, which was due in the bills of street lights and tube-well bills.
The spokesperson of IESCO told in this regard that power supply of Chairman CDA office has been disconnected and the electricity of street lights and tube-well have not been disconnected to avoid the citizens from any inconvenience, he added.
