Nisar to call peace bodies meeting this week

ISLAMABAD - Federal Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan will call the meeting of both government and Taliban nominated peace committees during this week after taking input on the possibility of some non-combatant prisoners’ release before the next interaction with Taliban Shura.
A source in Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) informed that the government was giving serious consideration to the Taliban Shura’s ‘wish’ to get some of its non-combatant prisoners freed as a confidence building measure between the two sides and in this connection the government would be taking legal input on how to go about it.
Besides taking legal input, the government would also be discussing the matter with some other stakeholders to have their reflection on the matter as well, the source further said.
When contacted, a source in TTP nominated panel said that the venue and agenda for the next round of talks was yet to be decided and they would most likely to finalise these things when both the committees would meet again with the interior minister in a next couple of days.
The Nation had earlier reported that two to three places for talks were selected outside North Waziristan Agency and a meeting between the two sides was held on any of these places and this time too both the sides would go to any of the already decided places, a member of TTP nominated peace panel informed.
