QUETTA - Two persons including a local tribal leader and his security guard were killed and three others injured in firing of unknown miscreants here on Monday.
SSP Sariab said that the firing incident took place at Sariab Road in Kaley Barro area of Quetta where unidentified armed motorcyclists sprayed bullets at a vehicle.
As a result of firing a local tribal elder Zahir Rind died on the spot while four people including his personal security guard sustained injuries. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medico-legal formalities where the injured security guard, Abdul Malik also succumbed to his injuries raising death toll to two. Heavy contingent of police and other LEAs personnel cordoned off the area after the firing but the attackers managed to escape.
Police feared that the firing incident was outcome of personal enmity. However, a case has been registered into the incident and investigation has been kicked off.
