Armed struggle to implement Shariah un-Islamic, says Qazi

PESHAWAR Condemning the killing of innocent people in the bomb blasts and suicide attacks, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) former chief Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that armed struggle is 'un-Islamic for the implementation of Islamic Shariah. Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected cabinet of Shafi Market on Monday, Qazi said that certain anti-Islam and anti-state forces are behind the suicide blasts in mosques, bazaars and political and public gatherings. He said the killing of the personnel of the law enforcement agencies was un-Islamic and inhuman adding that the real enemy of the country should be identified. He added that the real enemy of the Muslims and Pakistan is Americans and Jews. If these forces consider the US enemy, they should target American personnel not the innocent masses, he maintained. Expressing concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in the country, he said the country was passing through a very critical juncture of its history and it was the prime responsibility of the government to lead the nation to the right direction. Qazi also termed military leadership equally responsible for the PNS Mehran episode, adding it was all because of the shameful role of military along with the government upon the US commando action in Abbottabad, in which sovereignty of the country was openly violated. He alleged that American CIA and 'Mossad hatching conspiracies against Pakistan and unfortunately certain elements inside the country are also playing in the hands of foreign elements. He further said Pakistan is a resources rich country along with 1.7 million, population, but the only thing which is direly need is a honest leadership. He asserted the need that Pakistan is an Islamic democratic republic and all the clerics are unanimously agreed on this agenda that armed struggle for the imposition of Shariat is not the solution of the problems. He urged the government to detach ways with the US 'so-called war on terror, and said it was not Pakistans war but it had been imposed upon Pakistan. He demanded of the government to review their foreign policy and disassociate themselves from US alliance.
