TOBA TEK SINGH - A schoolteacher and a married woman were kidnapped here. According to the Pirmahal Police, complainant Muhammad Jamil, resident of Chak 689/31/GB informed on Monday that her private school teacher sister Shakila Bibi was allegedly abducted at gunpoint by Asif, Javed, Khalid and a woman namely Saadia Bibi. The police have registered a case under section 365/B of PPC and were raiding to recover the woman. In another similar incident in Chak 732/GB in Rajana area, a married woman Nazia Parveen was allegedly kidnapped by three persons - Abid, Khalid and Nadeem. DBA OBSERVES STRIKE: The District bar association members observed a complete strike on Monday on the call of the Punjab Bar Council to condemn the Punjab government decision regarding withdrawal of free medical facility to lawyers and their families in government hospitals. A DBA meeting was also held with the bar President Mian Farrukh Iqbal in the chair which the lawyers demanded restoration the facility.
