CIA Model Town police on Thursday claimed to have arrested members of an inter-district gang allegedly involved in dacoity, house robbery and street crime and recovered cash, weapons and other valuables from them.
A spokesman for the CIA said SP Khalid Masood constituted a team headed by Model Town DSP Anwar Saeed Kingra. The team arrested Abdur Rehman alias Lucky, the ring leader of Lucky Dacoit Gang, along with his accomplices including Majid Asghar Ali and Muhammad Mirza. Police recovered Rs 1.2 million in cash, valuables and illegal weapons from them. They confessed to their crime in Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad and Lahore.
Furthermore, two accomplices of the gang Babar and Umair were still at large and police were conducting raids for their arrest.–Staff Reporter
