PM bans use of ACs in govt depts before 11am
 
 
 

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has banned the use of air conditioners in all government departments and offices before 11am in the morning. The ban shall continue till substantial improvement in the energy situation in the country. The measure reflects the resolve of the government to manage the power crisis by management of demand. The PM directed the secretaries concerned to ensure that air conditioners in all govt departments are not used before 11am.
The prime minister expressed the hope that the provincial governments, private institutions and the general public will cooperate with the government on energy conservation.
The prime minister has appealed to the people to adopt energy conservation practices in their homes and workplaces to minimise loadshedding and encourage a culture of energy conservation in the country.
