SIALKOT-Rescue 1122 Sialkot organised a weeklong flood-fighting training programme for rescuers in River Chenab near Head Marala-Sialkot here.
District Emergency Officer Syed Kamal Abid supervised the training programme. Senior trainers, instructors and officials imparted necessary training of operating engine boats, swimming in flood waters, besides, shifting flood victims and stranded people to safer places. They also imparting training of providing medical aid to flood victims and conducted a mock flood emergency exercise in River Chenab at Head Marala-Sialkot here on Monday.
The rescuers showed keen interest and exhibited professional skills in the training programme.
On the occasion, the District Emergency Officer announced holding flood-fighting training programme for the rescuers on permanent basis.
