ISLAMABAD - After the shut down of web TV, Muttahida Qaumi Movement is now focusing on networking websites to reach the audience.
The MQM through Twitter account @MQMTelevision, is not only clarifying the allegations leveled against it but also using the social media for the image building of its founder.

On the other hand, sources claim that the TV is put off –the-air permanently. We have shut the TV on government request, and there are no chances of reversing the decision, a top official said.
He said that the decision was made on the request of intelligence agency that the TV is airing material, which is inappropriate.
He said the TV was banned after consultation with legal department and the ban was put in the light of directions of superior court.
Last year, a full bench of the Lahore High Court banned the live telecast of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain's speeches on TV channels.
Ban on MQM TV has been placed at a time when the Sindh govt is yet consulting to extend the powers of Rangers in Karachi, which expired last week.
