7 killed in 2 Balochistan blasts, firing

QUETTA Some seven people were killed in Kech and Kalat districts of Balochistan in bomb blasts and firing incident on Thursday. According to sources, Ramdil along with his son and three body guards was passing from Kohar area, near Tump of Kech district, when his vehicle was exploded with explosive material planted along the road. Consequently, Ramdil, his son Bebarg, and three body guards sustained critical wounds and died before reaching the hospital. The sources said the explosive was placed with the road which was exploded with a remote-controlled device as soon as the vehicle reached there.Soon after the explosion, Levies personnel rushed to the site and moved the bodies to Tump hospital and later handed them over to heirs after completing legal formalities. Meanwhile, defunct Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) claimed responsibility for carrying out remote-controlled attack on vehicle of Ramdil and said the latter was spying for security forces. In another incident, two people were shot dead in Kalat, some 160 KM southeast of Quetta. Sources said some unidentified armed motorcyclists sprayed a volley of bullets on Abdul Rahim and Wadera Dad Muhammad Mengal at Kanpato Cross and managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime. As a result, they died on the spot and were moved to nearby hospital. Motive behind the killing is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, police recovered a dead body from Panjgour a bordering town near Iran. Police on a tip-off recovered the dead body and shifted it to the hospital where he was identified as Dur Jan. Police have started investigation into the killing after registering a case.
