KP Governor for review of war on terror conduct

PESHAWAR (Online) Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Owais Ahmed Ghani Thursday strongly condemned the attack by the Nato helicopters on a Frontier Corps border post in Kurram Agency, resulting in the martyrdom of two soldiers and injuries to several others. In a statement, Ghani termed the incursion as a violation of territorial sovereignty and a blatant act of aggression against the state and people of Pakistan. He stated that it was not the first incident of its kind, adding that the government and people of Pakistan rightly expected Nato to explain how a modern hi-tech Amy could possibly mistakenly attack Pakistani soldiers at a very well known border post and at the same time claimed that Pakistan was a frontline ally in the war against terrorism. He said Pakistan would have to investigate the incident and review the conduct of war against terrorism. Ghani expressed sympathies with the families of those killed in the indiscriminate, assuring them of every possible help and support. He also assured the peaceful and the law-abiding tribesmen that the government stood by them and would make every effort to safeguard their lives and properties from such cross-border attacks.
