PML-N mute till General speaks out

LAHORE - The PML-N has decided to keep mum over the WikiLeaks latest revelations that Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani had expressed his disliking for party head Mian Nawaz Sharif in his conversation with the then US ambassador in Pakistan. WikiLeaks has quoted Kayani having told Anne Patterson that he disliked President Zardari, but he had even more distrust of PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif. When contacted to know the PML-Ns reaction over the alleged remarks by the Army chief, the party spokesperson, Pervaiz Rashid, told TheNation that comments in this regard should be sought from those who had been implicated into the controversy by the WikiLeaks. He said the PML-N would reserve reaction till the persons with whom such utterances had been attributed clarified their position. When asked if he doubted the revelations made by the website, Rashid said he did not really know whether they were correct or not, but what really matters for the PML-N is the possible reaction from those with whom such controversial remarks have been attributed.
