LAHORE- Faisal Town police have registered a case against about 100 journalists on the complaint of doctors of Jinnah Hospital on Friday. The sources in police said that the police registered case of riot, road blocking, disturbance and other allegations against the journalists. However, police sealed FIR and did not disclose the names of the journalists. The sources said that among the accused, most of the journalists are office- bearers of Punjab Union of Journalists (PUJ) and Lahore Press Club while a number of journalists belonged to various newspapers of the City. Earlier, Faisal Town police registered a case against 50 doctors of Jinnah Hospital on Thursday. It is pertinent to mention that a couple of days ago the doctors of Jinnah Hospital tortured some journalists while they were performing their duties and the journalist community protested against the torture. However, the office-bearers of Lahore Press Club and PUJ condemned the registration of case against journalists.
