Severe cold wave hit different areas of country

Islamabad, Peshawar motorway has been closed as severe cold wave and fog engulfed the different areas of the country while schedule of flights remained suspended at Benazir International airport here on Monday. As per details, severe cold wave hit areas of all over the country and badly disturbed the routine life. According to IG Motorway Waseem Kausar intense fog has engulfed Islamabad Peshawar motorway and it is dangerous to drive on the road in wake of possible road accidents. The motorway from Burhan Interchange to Peshawar mor has been closed in this connection. IG Motorway Waseem Kausar told private TV channel that that the motorway would remain closed till the complete removal of fog. Meanwhile, the temperature has become 12 degree centigrade in Kalam and Astoor while wood has become rare in these areas. Metrological department forecasted that rain wave would enter in northern areas in next week. The metrological department also forecasted snowfall on hills in upper areas of the country. The chilling cold is continued in different areas of Balochistan and temperature has fall down till 9 degree centigrade in Quetta. The 80 per cent roads in Skardu have covered with snow and temperature is 11 degree centigrade in lower areas while 16 degree centigrade in upper areas. The freezing cold is causing different diseases like pneumonia, cough and chest infection, among the people. The freezing cold also hit Para Chinaar and Lower Deer made the residents to remain at homes.
