LAHORE - An election tribunal comprising Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry of Lahore High Court on Wednesday declared disqualified PML-N MPA Haji Nasir Mehmood from PP-111, Gujrat. The tribunal also directed Election Commission of Pakistan to arrange repolling in the constituency. The tribunal issued this order on a petition filed by former provincial education minister Mian Imran Masood of PML-Q, who was defeated in the last polls. The petitioner had taken the plea that Haji Nasir possessed BA degree issued by an institution, not recognised by HEC. He had pleaded for declaring Haji Nasir disqualified besides seeking repolling in the constituency.
