ISLAMABAD - The expanded cabinet of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani would be the third largest Cabinet in the country's history with mother of all cabinets led by former prime minister Shaukat Aziz with a total strength of 59 federal and state ministers and three advisors to PM with status of federal ministers and 11 other politicians and top officials with status of ministers. These persons, though entitled to all perks and privileges of a federal minister, were not allowed to attend the Cabinet meeting. Including these advisors the total strength of the Cabinet stood at 73 and was termed as 'mother of all cabinets'. The second largest cabinet in country's history was formed in the second term of Benazir Bhutto as Prime Minister in 1996 when the cabinet members including advisors touched the figure of 65-plus. The Cabinet strength of the government led by Mohammad Khan Junejo also touched the golden figure of 50 and was considered as one of the largest federal cabinet by that time.
